Perc Testing

This option applies to soils with estimated absorption rates exceeding 75 minutes per inch. Boring will be performed in a grid pattern with no more than 25 feet between holes. Each boring will be filled with water, monitored, and on-site measurements recorded to determine the soil’s estimated absorption rate(s).

Land Use

We turn soil science into clear guidance so your project rests on a solid foundation. Our evaluations help clients reduce risk, meet regulations, and unlock land potential:

Farmers: Improve yields and soil health with data on nutrient retention, drainage class, and land capability.

Homeowners: Proceed with confidence using septic suitability tests, seasonal high-water table assessments, and drainage planning.

  1. We start with a quick phone call to discuss your project goals, property location,

and specific needs. We will also discuss site prep prior to our arrival.

  2. We arrive at your property to perform the physical evaluation. Using hand augers or coordinated machinery, we examine the soil profile for color, texture, structure, and depth to rock.

  3. We then flag the suitable area and collect data to complete a soil map (or if a surveyor is involved we may ask for them to shoot in our flags for easy reference).

  4. Within a week of the site visit, you will receive a detailed, professional soil report/map. All documents are formatted precisely to meet state and county environmental health office requirements, giving you a smooth path to your permits.

  5. We also offer septic installation through our associate Eady Excavating. *(please view our services page for more information)
